July 20, 2015 (Carlsbad, CA) – Mikroscan, maker of real time brightfield telepathology systems, is pleased to welcome two new technology and life science leaders to its Board of Directors.

The new board members are Rodney S. Dr. Markin’s 30 plus years as a pathologist include his prior role as the Chairman, President and CEO of UNMC Physicians, and as the Interim Dean of the College of Medicine at UNMC. Dr. Markin, who is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, founded LAB-InterLink, a spin-off of UNMC that provides products for hospital-based laboratory automation systems.

Mr. Joshi, who retired in April 2012 from HP, had been with the company since 1980, and served as EVP of the Imaging and Printing Group from 2002 until his retirement. Mr. Joshi is currently a director of Wipro Limited and Harris Communications, and served as a director of Yahoo! Inc. from 2005 to 2012.
